Hollis Scott Stauber received the 2016 deLacy Gray Award for Conservation at the Annual Meeting in Alexandria, May 10, 2016. As a conservation leader, Hollis helped develop a city-wide pilot recycling project in Danville and developed a brochure detailing ecofriendly insecticides and cleaning products. She chaired her club’s Conservation Forum on the Health of the Dan River, “After the Spill: Our Future.” Hollis chaired the state level Conservation Workshop, “Conservation in Virginia: What is Working?” Hollis is the Conservation Chair for the Garden Club of Danville and was a member of the GCV Conservation Committee.
