GCV Flower Arranging School at History Blooms welcomes Remco van Vliet!
Preparations are well underway for History Blooms 2026. The event’s third iteration, in conjunction with the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, carries the theme “Revolutionary Gardens.”
We are pleased to announce that Remco van Vliet will be joining us Feb. 20 for a fun-filled session of floral creations. Remco, a third-generation Dutch florist, has created the floral installations at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York for several years.
Also at History Blooms 2026:
- Leslie Harris, co-host of The Garden Mixer podcast – Garden Presentations
- Peter Hatch – Thomas Jefferson’s Revolutionary Garden at Monticello
- Hands-on Workshop with floral designer David Pippin
- Luncheon with Frances Schultz – Hospitality from the Heart
- Shopping with The Arranger’s Market, and more…
Beautiful floral creations by GCV member clubs throughout the museum will be a welcome prelude to spring. Club presidents and artistic design chairmen should have received a registration email in December. This is a non-judged show, except for a People’s Choice Award voted by general visitors to the museum.
Join the Revolution! Tickets available through Virginia Museum of History & Culture in early January.
