Support conservation and preservation in Virginia
Your gift helps the Garden Club of Virginia continue to make a lasting impact.
Our Mission
To conserve the gifts of nature, to restore and preserve historic landscapes of the commonwealth, to cultivate the knowledge and love of gardening, and to lead future generations to build on this heritage.
Your gift helps the Garden Club:
- Conserve Virginia’s natural resources.
- Restore and preserve public landscapes and gardens.
- Educate students, the public, and our members.
- Award grants for community projects led by our member clubs.
There are additional ways to give, including five primary funds.
Annual Fund
Supports our ability to produce effective programs that deliver on the promise of our mission.
Endowment Fund
Charitable gifts that are invested to provide long-range support of the Garden Club. A small amount is used to help fund annual operations. Endowment gifts are particularly meaningful in that they provide a dependable, perpetual source of funding.
Common Wealth Award Fund
The Common Wealth Award Fund provides competitive grants that support community projects of member garden clubs.
Conservation Fund
This fund supports several conservation efforts, including advocacy efforts in the General Assembly; educational programs diving into issues impacting our land, water, wildlife and health; and fellowships for Virginia undergraduate and graduate students who are exploring environmental challenges that directly impact the Commonwealth.
Restoration Fund
Supports the preservation and restoration of historic public landscapes and gardens across. The fund also supports two fellowships in landscape architecture that provide graduate students the opportunity to document historic landscapes. This fund is also directly supported by proceeds from Historic Garden Week.
