This self-guided tour offers the option to walk or drive within a four-block radius. It highlights the first suburban neighborhood to branch off from the original 42 acres that served as the county seat and eventually became the city of Martinsville. Visitors will enjoy reimagined homes, backyard escapes, and the paved path of the Gravely-Lester Art Garden, with Piedmont Arts Association as the Tour Headquarters. As a proudly proclaimed Bee City, the tour will feature special activities, including vendors at The Starling Bee Foundation. While in the area, stroll the Paw Path dog walk and the Pollinator Path at the Smith River Sports Complex. These areas were made possible by the Garden Club of Virginia Commonwealth Award and feature native plants and shrubbery.
